Ana Maria Pacheco-Pascagaza

Dr Ana María Pacheco Pascagaza is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Environment, Education and Development at The University of Manchester. Ana María is a specialist in earth observation (EO) for monitoring forests structure, and disturbances using a combination of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data, Optical, LiDAR and field data. 

In this project, Ana María is a co-investigator responsible for WP1, which includes developing a national static fuel map, as well as a dynamic fuel map for the Peak District National Park. WP5, for generating a detailed spatial analysis of UK wildfire statistics, which will include new data from recent severe wildfire seasons. Lastly, she will also contribute in WP6 which aims to generate risk assessments for different case of studies identified during the project.
