Katy Ivison

Katy has recently completed her PhD at Durham University investigating how climate change and biotic interactions affect invasive plants in Norway. Before this, she undertook her MSci at the University of Birmingham looking at how increased carbon dioxide concentrations affected invertebrate populations at the BIFoR FACE facility in Staffordshire.

She has now started working on Work Package 2 at the University of Birmingham, using fuel moisture data collected during 2021-2022 from heathland, forest, grassland and bog sites across the UK. She will be looking for patterns across time and space to understand which factors affect the moisture content of different materials.
