Sarah is currently working as a researcher and technician in the wildFIRE Lab at the University of Exeter. Sarah graduated with an MGeol in Geology in 2013 from the University of Plymouth, before moving to the University of Exeter to receive her PhD in 2018 where she studied the relationships and fire feedbacks in the Earth system in deep time. Sarah’s research has since focussed on building an understanding of variations in fire behaviour in Earth’s past, in particular linking climate and atmospheric induced changes in ancient ecosystems and vegetation with shifts in fire behaviour and activity.
